Yes, you can download eBooks and Audiobooks!

The Newmarket Public Library is a member of the New Hampshire Downloadable Books Consortium.  If you have a library card in good standing you can check out eBooks and audiobooks and download them immediately to your device - including Kindles, iPhones, Android phones, iPads, Nexus, mp3 players and more.

Downloading is now easier and more intuitive than ever before. How does it work? First, you need your Library card. Then click on the link at right to go to the Consortium site. Click Borrow to check out a title (if you’re not signed in, you’ll be prompted to do so or, if you are a first time user, you will need to create an account). You’ll be taken to your Bookshelf on your Account page, where you can begin reading the title in your browser or choose a download format.

Don't forget to check out the video tutorials if you need extra help.

Please note: downloading electronic content from our electronic book vendors may compromise customary library user confidentiality expectations. Visiting the Amazon site or Adobe Digital Editions may allow these sites to store data about your reading/listening habits and download history via the Overdrive service.
