New Hampshire Children's Museum

Those wishing to use the Children's Museum pass must be current library card holders with no overdue items or unpaid fines on their card.

The Library has a discount admission pass to the New Hampshire Children's Museum, located in Dover NH at 10 Henry Law Park.  Phone Number: 603-742-2002. Please use the link below for information about exhibits, hours, and special events.

This pass is good for 50% off the regular admission prices for up to 4 people. Regular admission is $9.00 per person.  Children under age one are admitted free. You can register to use the pass by calling 659-5311, or coming in to sign up at the Circulation desk.

The library can only give out one pass to the museum per day so book early to get your first choice.  Passes are good for that day only, and they may be picked up to five days before your visit day.  Passes do not need to be returned.   If you book a pass and then decide not to go to the museum, we appreciate a call so we can issue another patron a pass for that day.

Story Time

Pre-school story hours are held weekly on Tuesday mornings at 10:30. Each story hour has a special theme with crafts and songs related to it.

There is no sign-up required.  Please join us!

Sign up for Seacoast Reads with UNH tutors!

Fall 2013

Does your elementary school aged child need extra help reading? Come to the library to sign up for a Seacoast Reads Reading tutor. Seacoast Reads is a local implementation of the America Reads Challenge - the mission is to:

  • Increase proficiency in reading and writing
  • Develop self confidence
  • Encourage a love of reading

UNH volunteers travel twice a week to work one-on-one with an elementary “reading buddy”, reading books, playing word games, and practicing writing.  Your child will be paired with a student tutor and they will meet once a week, for a 45 minute session.  Sign up anytime between now and next August to reserve tutoring times.  First come, first serve.
